Hezheng County Hosts “10,000 Enterprises Assist 10,000 Villages” Program Symposium
ACFIC CPC Secretary Xu Lejian said the “10,000 Enterprises Assist 10,000 Villages” Program has become for entrepreneurs a key channel to explore business space, growth pattern change and upgrades and also a lively classroom to receive education on patriotism and political faith.
Xu made the remarks at the “10,000 Enterprises Assist 10,000 Villages” Program Symposium in Hezheng County of western China’s Gansu Province on June 29. The symposium was attended by representatives of enterprises, Chambers of Commerce, Federations of Industry and Commerce, the United Front Work Department, the Poverty Alleviation Office, the China Society for Promotion of the Guangcai Program, and the Agricultural Development Bank of China.
FICs of Gansu, Shaanxi and Qinghai provinces, COCs and enterprises of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Shandong Province and Jilin Province gave reports on their participation in the Program. The ACFIC Pharmaceutical Chamber of Commerce donated 1.04 million yuan of medicines to the County and participants visited three local poverty alleviation business projects before the symposium.
Xu stressed the importance of accurate management of Program implementation database; the importance of achieving win-win and mutual benefit through an effective long-term poverty alleviation mechanism with industrial development as the main direction, propelling agricultural supply-side structural reform and with respect to grassroots pioneership and entrepreneurs’ innovation; the importance of easing financing difficulty through policy support and pushing local governments to hand over various types of funds for agriculture, farmers, rural areas and poverty alleviation and special-interest-discount loans to Program-participating enterprises with good credit and qualification for implementation of industrial-development-based poverty alleviation projects; the importance of gravitating assistance to extremely poor areas and populations; and the importance of honoring and giving publicity to the outstanding private enterprises in the Program.
State Council Poverty Alleviation and Development Leading Group Office Director Liu Yongfu said at the Symposium that ACFIC has fully implemented the policies and decisions of the CPC Central Committee and directed various levels of FICs, poverty alleviation offices and Guangcai Societies to organize and mobilize enterprises to participate in the Program, and consequently, Program participation, innovation and effectiveness have exceeded expectation.
Liu also stressed the significance of cultivating a host of business with local characters and a group of successful village leaders in poverty alleviation and integrating industrial projects with local poor population as a close entity of interests to improve the latter’s sustained work capability. He also called for urging and guiding enterprises in eastern China to participate in poverty alleviation in western regions.
