Lu Yong visited Ethiopia and Tanzania

Invited by the business chamber of Ethiopia and the private enterprises association of Tanzania, Lu Yong, vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), led a delegation to visit the two countries from Nov. 13 to 21, 2019.
  
The visit was aimed to implement the “Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Beijing Action Plan (2019-2021)”, which stipulated to play the role of private enterprises.
  
During the visit, the delegation held symposiums with the investment departments from the two countries respectively, and visited Teka, minister of trade, industry and state affairs from Ethiopia, Temesgen, vice director of Ethiopian investment committee, and Geoffrey, executive director of the investment promotion center under the Tanzanian prime minister’s office.
  
They also held forums with the Ethiopian business chamber, Tanzanian private enterprises association, and other business associations to exchange on carrying out the concept of joint discussion, construction and sharing, and promoting opening-up and win-win cooperation, and on the practice of deepening cooperation and exchange between business associations, and on the construction of closer cooperation mechanisms.
  
The delegation inspected the Ethiopian Eastern Industry Zone, Huajian light industry town, Transsion, Startimes Ethiopia, Huayuan Security, Sansheng pharmacy, Di Yuan Ceramics, and Lifan automobile assembly plant to investigate private enterprises’ overseas investment and operation.
  
They also visited the Chinese business chamber of Tanzania and the China-Africa business chambers in Tanzania.
  
The visit was fruitful in strengthening mutual understanding and friendship and expending practical cooperation.
  
During the visit, Lu also met with the Chinese ambassador to Ethiopia Tan Jian and the Chiness ambassador to Tanzania Wang Ke.
