This is an act in response to Chinese President Xi Jinping’s appeal for “give Hubei a hand during its hardest time” and an implementation on the central government’s arrangements on supporting Hubei’s social economic development.

Ying Yong, secretary of CPC Hubei committee and director of NPC Hubei committee, and Xu Lejiang, vice minister of the United Front Work Department (UFWD) of CPC Central Committee, party secretary of the ACFIC and its standing vice president, attended and addressed on the conference, which was presided over by Wang Xiaodong, governor of Hubei Province. Ying Yong extended appreciation on behalf of Hubei and its 61 million population towards ACFIC and all people who care about and support Hubei’s epidemic control, post-pandemic recovery and reconstruction, and poverty alleviation.

He said that nationwide renowned private enterprises coming to Hubei for practical support for the reconstruction and poverty reduction in Hubei showed ACFIC’s, brother provinces’ and entrepreneurs’ great attention to this place and its people, which add strong confidence to Hubei’s fight for development and realizing a better off society in an all-round way.

As he said, Hubei has obvious advantages in location, industry, science and education, factors of production and market. It is still an important carrying place and intersection of many national strategies, such as the rise of central China, Yangtze River economic belt and the Belt and Road Initiative.

At present, the whole province has coordinated epidemic prevention and control with economic social development, made all-out efforts to promote post-epidemic recovery and reconstruction, and made great efforts to build one of the provinces with the fewest items for examination and approval, the highest efficiency, the best investment environment, the lowest comprehensive cost and the strongest sense of enterprise gain.

Ying welcomed entrepreneurs to take this historical chance to invest and grow in Hubei.

He said that they would be a good “waiter” on call to protect and motivate market vitality with more strength and efficiency and to continue making a market-oriented, law abiding and internationalized business environment.

According to him, Hubei would take the strategic opportunity of promoting domestic and international circulation and join hands with great private enterprises from Hubei and other provinces to deepen cooperation on new infrastructure construction, strategic new industries, massive health industry, new business forms and models, and essential industry cluster of “optic fiber, chip, high-end screen, user port and Internet”.

In one word, Hubei would open wider and the cooperation programs would be more extensive.

He said that for private enterprises and entrepreneurs, joining Hubei’s reconstruction was a practice of carrying out President Xi’s remarks on the private entrepreneur symposium.

He wanted the entrepreneurs to be confident with Hubei’s development, to face present difficulties and challenges with comprehensive, dialectical and far-reaching vision, and to grow stronger by tackling problems.

He asked them to full play their respective advantages and utilize China’s advantage of domestic recyclability to combine corporate production with national economy, and help Hubei to grasp this strategic opportunity to better use domestic and international markets and nurture their own enterprises’ competitiveness to become participator, organizer and leader of innovation-driven development.

He asked them to carry on Chinese entrepreneurship in this new era and actively take part in the “ten thousand enterprises help ten thousand villages”, helping Hubei to alleviate poverty and contributing to the “six stabilize” and “six guarantee”.

He stressed that the ACFIC branches at different places had supported Hubei after the COVID-19 breakout, some even established “one on one” assistance partnership with places and cities in Hubei, which demonstrated the unity and capability of ACFIC.

He said that the ACFIC would continue the docking of cooperation projects in Hubei and provide and create convenience for enterprises who wanted to develop in Hubei.
