He cited the top 500 enterprises as an example, saying that they were the fruit of both national strategic policies and individual participation in high-quality development and modernized economic system construction, and are a demonstration of how private enterprises strive to become first-class corporations with bets quality, benefit, competitiveness and influence, and are a result of self-innovation and displaying market entity vitality.

From early this year, the 1.4 billion Chinese people have come through an overwhelming fight against the COVID-19 epidemic under the leadership of CPC Central Committee with comrade Xi Jinping at its core.

Gao said that private enterprises made great contribution in this fight by taking part in the epidemic prevention and control.

Under the complicated domestic and international situation, the CPC Central Committee and the state council made essential decisions in a timely manner to coordinate epidemic prevention and control with economic and social development, putting forward the “six guarantee”,“six stabilize”, and the “two news and one major” (i.e. new infrastructure construction and new type of urbanization and one major project such as transportation and water conservancy), and stipulating a series of policies to aid and abet enterprises, aiming to promote consumption, stabilize foreign fund and supply chains, provide more opportunities for enterprises, and to protect and stimulate market entities.

Chinese President Xi Jinping called for dialectical thinking on the new opportunities and new challenges in the new development stage at a symposium with experts on economic and social work held in August.

Gao said to the attendees that they needed to think deep on this and to promote innovation on organization, management, technology and market by increasing technological research and development and investing in human resources to stimulate employees’ creativity.

He also asked them to make use of both domestic and overseas market while implementing the new development concept and realizing high-quality development.
This year, China will accomplish the construction of a better-off society in an all-round way and the first centenary goal, followed which is the next centenary goal of realizing the construction of a modernized socialist country by 2049, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Gao said that nowadays private entrepreneurs had a strong sense of innovation, entrepreneurship, integrity and the rule of law, and were enthusiastic about public welfare undertakings and brave to shoulder social responsibilities, with an international vision and a constant pursuit of excellence.

Entrepreneurs are pillars of national economic social development and are “protagonists”, according to Gao.

He asked them to carry forward the spirit displayed in the fight against COVID-19 epidemic to develop their enterprises stronger so as to together  make our country stronger and contribute to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

This year, the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic had caused unprecedented impact on China’s economic social development.

Under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the epidemic prevention and control had made strategic achievement amid the complex and severe situation.

Now China’s economic operation shows the momentum of recovery growth.

He encouraged the private entrepreneurs to look at the new chance and challenge in the new developing stage with dialectical thinking to see through the changes accurately, scientifically and proactively and to nurture new opportunities for more influential development with better quality, higher interest and stronger competitiveness.

He asked them to adhere to patriotic spirit and work ethic, innovation-driven development, honesty and integrity of law-abiding, and to actively fulfill social responsibilities and expand international horizon.

In this way, enterprises would develop in a way with more sentient, dynamics, guarantee, values, and competitiveness, said Xu.
