The 4th All-China Young Entrepreneurs Summit held in Nanjing
The 4th All-China Young Entrepreneurs Summit was held in Nanjing on May 30, 2021. Themed with “A Hundred Years of Inheritance, Practical Action Helps the Nation Thrive — New Stage, New Philosophy, New Paradigm, New Generation”, the summit was hosted by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, and was organized by the ACFIC Young Entrepreneur Council, Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League of China. Xu Lejiang, vice minister of the United Front Department of CPC Central Committee, secretary of Party Leadership of ACFIC and executive vice chairman, and Wu Zhenglong, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and governor of Jiangsu, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.
Noting that this year marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Xu Lejiang pointed out that the CPC Central Committee had decided to launch a campaign on Party history learning and education throughout the Party and promote the learning of the “Four Histories (the history of the CPC, the history of New China, the history of the nation’s reform and opening-up, and the history of socialist development)” with the Party history as the focus across Chinese society. Coinciding with the Party’s centenary, the summit was held in Jiangsu province, an important birthplace of China’s national industry and commerce, which is of special significance for young entrepreneurs to better grasp the new development stage, act on the new development philosophy, integrate into the new development paradigm, learn and inherit the excellent entrepreneurial spirit of the older generation, go all out to ensure a good start for fully building a modern socialist country, and take their responsibilities in the new era. Young entrepreneurs should learn from the “Four Histories”, love the Party, the country and the people, and improve their capacity for innovation and development. History learning can enable us to inherit the red gene, stay firm to ideals and convictions, improve our ideological level, and achieve success in our career. Young entrepreneurs should keep Chinese President Xi Jinping’s instructions in mind, be brave and resolute, face up to difficulties, shoulder the responsibility of achieving the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation, and continue to write splendid chapters of their lives on the stage of realizing the Chinese dream.
Wu Zhenglong said that the youth, which were the most active and vibrant force, were the hope of the country and the future of the nation. Young entrepreneurs should keep Chinese President Xi Jinping’s instructions in mind, realize that China is currently at a critical period for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the world is going through major changes unseen in a century, and know what is of vital importance to the country. They should closely link the development of enterprises to the national prosperity and the well-being of the people, draw inexhaustible strength from the 100-year history of the Party, regard Zhang Jian and other pioneers as examples to vigorously carry forward the entrepreneurial spirit in the new era. They should have the courage to innovate, dare to scale the new heights and stand at the forefront, give back to society, seize the day and live it to the full, and write a youthful chapter on the new journey of the new era. Wu hoped that all the guests and entrepreneurs present at the meeting would pay more attention to, know more about, invest in and settle in Jiangsu. He mentioned that Jiangsu would take this summit as an opportunity to give full play to the role of the effective government and efficient market, actively create a world-class business environment, and provide favorable conditions for the development of various enterprises and for the growth of young entrepreneurs.
At the opening ceremony, Wu Rongzhao, chairman of Federation of Fujian Young Entrepreneurs and chairman of Hongxing Erke Industry Co., Ltd., passed the flag to Cui Wei, rotating chairman of Jiangsu Federation of Young Entrepreneurs and vice president of Hengtong Group. Eight guests delivered keynote speeches at the summit, including Shen Bin, vice president of All-China Chamber of Industry and Commerce (ACCIC), director of the ACFIC Young Entrepreneur Council and chairman of Jiangsu Shagang Group Co., Ltd., Jia Kang, a specially-invited expert of the CPPCC talent pool and chief of China Academy of New Supply-side Economics, Dong Mingzhu, chairman of the board and president of Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliances Inc., Zhang Wenzhong, founder of Wumart Group, chairman of the board of Dmall and rotating chairman of Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum, Yu Minhong, chairman of New Oriental Education and Technology Group, William Li, founder, chairman and CEO of NIO, Wu Guangsheng, a member of the Standing Committee of the ACFIC, deputy director of the ACFIC Young Entrepreneur Council and chairman of China Communication Technology Co., Ltd., and Yang Hui, a member of Executive Committee of the ACFIC and chairman of Accumulus (Tianjin) Sharing Economy Information Consulting Co., Ltd.
The summit also held three parallel forums on the themes of “Commemorating the Party’s Centenary, Responding to the Party’s Call”, “Technology Promotes Industrial Upgrading and Revitalization of Countryside”, and “Charm of Jiangsu · Youth Talk”. The participants will also go to Nantong to carry out intensive teaching, where the Youth Theory Study Group of the ACFIC Young Entrepreneurs Council will have a discussion on learning “Zhang Jian’s spirit”. During the summit, the ACFIC and the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government also jointed hosted the Yangtze River Delta Industry Promotion Conference to encourage private enterprises to actively participate in the integrated development strategy of the Yangtze River Delta region.
On the eve of the opening ceremony, the summit organized the “Four Histories Lecture” and patriotic education activities. Young entrepreneurs listened to the report of Major General Xu Yan, a professor at the Chinese People’s Liberation Army’s National Defense University, on the theme of “Commemorating the Centenary of the Founding of the Party, Inheriting the Red Gene”, and went to Yuhuatai Martyrs’ Cemetery in memory of revolutionary martyrs. In addition, the “China Youth Business” publicity campaign was also launched.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Fan Youshan, deputy secretary of Party Committee and vice chairman of ACFIC, Li Zhaoqian, member of the Party Leadership Group and vice chairman of ACFIC, Yang Yue, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and minister of the United Front of Jiangsu, Qi Jiabin, vice governor of Jiangsu province, Shou Ziqi, vice chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee and chairman of Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, Wang Cuifeng, vice governor of Anhui Province and chairman of Anhui Federation of Industry and Commerce. In addition, leaders of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, ACFIC, and relevant departments of Jiangsu province, well-known entrepreneurs from all over the country, all members of the ACFIC Young Entrepreneur Council, representatives of young entrepreneurs of chambers of commerce affiliated to the ACFIC, and representatives of young entrepreneurs from different provinces and cities attended the ceremony as well.
