Preparation for Political Consultation Under Way, Part I

On January 11, a number of government ministries briefed the Beijing-based members of the Chinese People"s Political Consultative Conference, the central leaderships of democratic parties and ACFIC officials about their 2012 work plans and priorities as well as the major issues on which they want formal advice.

Those delivered reports at the briefingincludedPolitical and Legal Commission of the CPC Central Committee, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, the written reports by the Ministry of Public Security and 12 other ministries will be compiledand issued to the relevant parties byCPPCCbefore the 5th Meeting of the 11th CPPCC.

ACFIC Vice Chairman Zhuang Congsheng, Membership Department Vice Director Li Shulin, Poverty Relief and Social Service Department Vice Director Liu Wei and those in charge of preparation of the motions to CPPCC on behalf of various ACFIC chambers of commerce attended the briefing.
