Preparation for Political Consultation Under Way, Part III

More than 30 people from the ACFIC and the eight Chinese democratic parties in charge of preparation of their motions to the Fifth Session of the 11th Chinese People"s Political Consultative Conference met on February 3 for exchanges of their work progress.

ACFIC Vice Chairman Zhuang Congsheng and Research Department Deputy Director Tu Wen attended the meeting, chaired by CPPCC Motions Committee Director Wang Tielin.

Zhuang said that by taking advantage of its close links with its provincial chapters and the broad span of its directly associated chambers of commerce, ACFIC has prepared nearly 40 draft motions since last September, focusing on strategic new industries, real economy, regional economy, service industry, traditional industry and the cultural industry, reflecting the characteristics of non-state-owned economy and the work of ACFIC.

Zhuang added that ACFIC will conduct additional research to improve the quality of the motions and carry out further amendments, discussions, and reviews by the Chairmen"s Conference before sending the motions to the CPPCC.
