Private Firms Expected to Do More in Poor Areas

The State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development and the ACFIC have approved a work plan for jointly promoting the participation of private enterprises in poverty alleviationand development in extremely poor areas.

During a meeting in the ACFIC on April 19, ACFIC Poverty Relief and Social Service Department Director Wang Gangzhi reviewed their bilateral cooperation in poverty alleviation in recent years.

CPAD Director Fan Xiaojian briefed the parties about the country"s current poverty alleviation situations and tasks, and proposed stronger bilateral cooperation in research, multi-dimensional work, commendations and publicity.

ACFIC Chairman Wang Qinmin laid out several requirements for the directions and targets of the non-public economy"s involvement in poverty alleviation and the ACFIC-CPAD cooperation.
