The ACFIC and the Gansu government signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Lanzhou on June 19 on strengthening construction of local federations of industry and commerce, promoting investment by private enterprises from other parts of the country, and carrying forward poverty alleviation in the western province.
Gansu CPC Commitee Secretary Wang Sanyun expressed his gratitude to the ACFIC and private entrepreneurs and briefed them about the development of the local non-public economy and the plans for the future of the province, in terms of economy, culture and ecological safety.
As to poverty alleviation, he stressed the importance of increasing the income of needy population to ensure that they have enough food and clothing, and making breakthroughs in infrastructure construction, people-enriching sectors development, relocation of needy population, financial funding support, public services guarantee, and population quality improvement.
The signing ceremony was attended by ACFIC Chairman Wang Qinmin, CPC Committee Secretary Quan Zhezhu, 17 ACFIC Vice Chairpersons and two Vice Chairmen of the All-China General Chamber of Industry and Commerce (ACGCIC), along with top Gansu officials.
