Go-global Enterprises Attend Video Lecture on B&R Countries’ Tax Policies

Liao Tizhong, Director of the International Taxation Affairs Department of the State Administration of Taxation gave a lecture on taxation policies and incentives in countries on the Belt and Road trade routes to go-global enterprises and FIC officials through live video on May 10.

The lecture, staged at ACFIC head office in Beijing, was intended to assist private enterprises with taxation-related risks prevention and control in their overseas business operations and with their participation in the Belt and Road construction.

Since the overland Silk Road Economic Belt and the ocean-based 21st Century Maritime Silk Road initiative was launched in 2013, China has picked up speed at taxation agreement negotiation, forming an agreement network covering 106 countries and forging taxation agreements with 54 B&R countries.

Further policy communication and taxation agreement negotiation with eight countries is afoot this year. Chinese taxation envoys will be stationed in international organizations and priority destinations for Chinese going-global businesses to carry out international taxation collaboration, taxation-related disputes resolution and information collection.

ACFIC and SAT signed a Cooperative Agreement on March 31 to improve communication with private enterprises on taxation issues.
