Minister Calls for Rallying Intellectuals Around CPC Closely

United Front Work Minister Sun Chunlan called for rallying non-CPC-member intellectuals closely around the Communist Party of China to jointly pursue China's Revitalization Dream.

At the National Symposium on the United Front Work for Non-CPC Member Intellectual in Tianjin Municipality on June 9, Sun stressed that the CPC Central Committee with Secretary General Xi Jinping at the core has attached great importance to issues related to intellectuals and she called for full implementation of CPC policies on intellectuals and full recognition of their important functions.

She urged various levels of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee to boost the political nature, zeitgeist and effectiveness of ideological guidance in implementation of their duty as adviser, assistant, coordinator and enforcer in affairs related to non-CPC member intellectuals, create conditions for them to establish and succeed, and strive to cultivate an outstanding team of politically solid and professionally sound. Intellectuals.

The Symposium was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, provincial and municipal United Front Work Departments across the country, and non-CPC member intellectuals.
