ACFIC Vice Chairman An Qiyi met with a delegation of the World Master Chefs Association for Cantonese Cuisine led by its office bearer Zhang Chengxiong in Beijing on April 12.
An said that WMCA-CC, which has gathered entrepreneurs and elites in the Cantonese cuisine business from all over the world, is a media and leader of spreading the excellent Chinese cuisine to the world and a bridge linking western and eastern cultures. Zhang said that WMCA-CC takes upon itself the mission of promoting and spreading the Cantonese cuisine and has played a positive role at building platforms of exchange between cuisines of various countries, increasing the understanding of the younger generation of overseas Chinese about development of China, and safeguarding Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability. He also expressed wish to further elevate bilateral cooperation and make greater contribution to the integration of western and eastern cultures.
The meeting was also attended by ACFIC International Liaison Director Ma Jun, Economic Service Director Luo Li, and Deputy Head of the Coordination Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong SAR, Guo Hengbin, as well as the leaders of some chambers of commerce directly under ACFIC.
