At the reception to mark 25 years of diplomatic ties with Belarus and Moldova in Beijing on January 11, CPPCC Vice Chairman and ACFIC Chairman Wang Qinmin said that China is eager to use the occasion as an opportunity to jointly advance the Belt and Road construction with the two countries and deepen collaboration to benefit their people.
Wang stressed that Belarus and Moldova have given enthusiastic response to Chinese President Xi’s Belt and Road initiative and China’s cooperation with the two counties are beginning to deliver real benefits. He noted that while the China-Belarus Industrial Park has become a signature and exemplary project of Belt and Road construction, Chinese-Moldovan ties in economy, trade, energy, investment and local arenas are producing diverse highlights with broad prospects for future pragmatic collaboration.
Belarusian Ambassador to China Kiryl Rudy said in his address that collaboration between China and Belarus over the past 25 years have been deepening consistently, the two countries show mutual support to each other on the international arena, and their economic development is complementary. He stressed that China’s Belt and Road strategy has made their ties even tighter.
Moldovan Ambassador to China Aureliu Ciocoi said that the close high-level contacts between China and Moldova have brought huge benefit to both sides in the political and economic fields. He also expressed appreciation for China’s long-term assistance to his country.
The reception was hosted by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and attended by leading officials of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and CPAFFC.
