Wang Qinmin Meets Taiwan’s Third Wednesday Club Delegation

CPPCC Vice Chairman and ACFIC Chairman Wang Qinmin encouraged Taiwan business friends to join the “Belt and Road” construction and achieve structural upgrade of their enterprises by fully tapping Taiwan’s industrial edge and proactively link up with the Mainland sectors for priority development.

During his meeting with the delegation of the Taiwan Third Wednesday Club led by its Chairman Pin-Kun Chiang in Beijing on May 23, Wang expressed appreciation to fellow members of the Club for their contribution to the reform and opening-up of the Mainland and the development of Cross-Strait relations.

Chiang said that the tremendous changes being witnessed by Cross-Strait relationship are producing many obstacles to its peaceful development. He expressed hope for tapping the advantage of non-governmental contacts to push ahead Cross-Strait exchanges in various sectors and arenas.

The two sides also discussed Cross-Strait business ties, formulation of standardization rules, and tightening of cooperation between ACFIC and the Club.

The meeting was attended, on the side of the Mainland, by ACFIC Vice Chairman Wang Yongqing, ACFIC International Liaison Department Director Ma Jun, Director of the Economic Department of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council Zheng Kang, and Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce General Secretary Lin Weimin, as well as leaders of some Chambers of Commerce directly under ACFIC and the Beijing Young Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce.
