Wang Qinmin Meets Hong Kong CGCC Delegation

ACFIC Chairman Wang Qinmin and the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Chairman Jonathan Choi Koon-shum called for joint participation by Mainland and Hong Kong business communities in “Belt and Road” construction during their meeting in Beijing on May 25.

Wang first congratulated CGCC for the election of its 50th office bearers and other committees, and he encouraged Hong Kong business friends to maintain firm confidence in the country’s development and its “One Country, Two Systems” and work with their Mainland counterparts to explore international markets in implementation of the “Belt and Road” global strategy.

Choi said that Hong Kong has a strong edge at modern services, finance and logistics and can act as a platform for both inbound and outbound business. He expressed hope to achieve full linkup and strong alliance between Mainland and Hong Kong enterprises and joint participation in “Belt and Road“ construction.  

The two sides also discussed guiding the development of Mainland’s and Hong Kong’s young entrepreneurs and tightening cooperation between ACFIC and CGCC.

The meeting was also attended by ACFIC Vice Chairman Wang Yongqing and Liaison Department Director Ma Jun, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong SAR Vice Director Yin Xiaojing and Coordination Department Vice Director Guo Hengbin, and representatives of some Chambers of Commerce directly under ACFIC and the Beijing Young Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce.
